The Story of LaMCoT

Our home, the Lamu Archipelago, lies 2 degrees south of the Equator along Kenya's coast. Our aim to conserve the marine ecosystems around this chain of islands. These islands are separated from the mainland by a narrow channel bordered with dense mangrove forest and protected from the vast Indian Ocean by coral reefs and large sand dunes.

This film will give you an insight into the way of life in the archipelago and the work we do here.

We would like to Thank Jahawi Bertolli from African Underwater and East African Ocean Explorers for creating this beautiful film.
